GACKT Fights Fever!! "The RR2, VISUALLIVE DVD is taking more time than I expected. One by one the staff members are dropping dead. The studio is turning into a war zone...or something out of [video game] 'Resident Evil.' Yesterday, apparently it was my turn. All of a sudden I had a fever of 40 degrees Celsius. It felt like I was going to die..." That must have made the fans extremely worried. But fortunately he wrote "Now my temperature has finally gone down below 38 degrees, so I think the worst is over." GACKT is working hard to release material of top notch quality! Let's also do our best in our own daily lives and wait for the DVD! Source1 How do you know you really love and respect someone even though you don't know them? You feel your heart skip a beat when you read he has a fever and need to inform other people about it immediately. Oh my GACKT! Seriously he needs to take better care of himself, I already feel horribly sad when I see him faint at the end of the dvds of his concerts. But I guess we should get used to things like this, since he is a workaholic, a perfectionist and wants to give his fans only his best. I hope he gets better and please someone make him get some rest, I doubt he'll pay attention but it doesn't matter. I feel bad but I'm really looking forward to the dvd, if they are working so hard for it, then it'll probably be unbelievably good. It's his 36th single in Oricon Top-10, what means that this far each his single has been in Top-10 ^^ It means if 2 more Gackt's singles enter Top-10 in Oricon he'll beat the record. Current record (among male solo artists) is 38 singles and it belongs to J-pop singer 田原俊彦 (Tahara Toshihiko). Of interest - this far he has released 64 singles and last time his single entered Top-10 in 1992. In the list including female artists and bands too Gackt's now sharing 10th place with V6. Project Scrapbook/Project G! [14 Dec 2009|03:29pm] dears [thevamplucinda] [ mood | happy ] [ music | Gackt--Lost Angels, Lu:na ] So, everyone, Project Gacktbook Scrapbook aka Project G (thanks pristineangel!) is underway! (Name still pending, haha.) Currently, we have three volunteers to handle the bulk of the work: Myself (thevamplucinda), pristineangel92 and elwenaduialloth, so consider us the "Scrapbook Committee" (even though it's really not all that much of a formal committee...^_^;) Anyway, here's the idea: We'll be sending a huge scrapbook to Gackt either for his birthday or very near his birthday filled with creations from his Dears in this Community (and anyone else who hears about it and wants to contribute!). Here's a list of things that can be sent (graciously compiled byansnnn) : -fan letters (handwritten or via email) -drawings/fan art -photos -comics -poems -pictures -collage of us -sentence in English, Mandarin, French, Japanese) -essays (short!) -handmade stuff (that can fit in a scrapbook...) -videos (if you make a video, please send it to me via email so that I can burn it to a single CD/DVD, unless you prefer to send it separately, which is also okay...just let me know!) -anything else that can fit in a scrapbook <3 You can do more than one thing if you want, also! So, if you want to send in a short video and maybe some fan art, for example...That's totally fine. And excused_early has volunteered to offer her translation skills to this project! So, if you want something translated into Japanese, please send it to her via LJ pm as soon as possible. The sooner the better, so that she'll have enough time! elwenaduialloth has offered (and I am eternally in her debt) to be the one to whom we send all of our materials, and who will also compile the actual Book, as she and a few of her friends have experience in scrapbooking! So, let's give her a big hand and a big thanks for that! <3 In any case, there will be more information pending, but here's what we have so far: The deadline for sending in materials is April 30th, 2009 2010. This will give elwenaduialloth enough time to compile the book and make it absolutely beautiful. ;) Also, this will also give us enough time to send the package so that it won't have to be rushed (which costs more money, ne?). If something comes up and this deadline must be changed, we'll let you know well ahead of time. Also, for video submissions, the deadline is March 30th 2010. GACKT Key Kanji for 2009: '謝 (Gratitude)' [13 Dec 2009|10:36pm] dears [shiroki_yousei] [ mood | cheerful ] [ music | Blue Lagoon ～深海～ - GACKT ] GACKT kept himself busy throughout 2009. He was asked to express what this year was like for him using just one kanji letter. With a brush he masterfully wrote '謝 (Sha; gratitude)'. "For the past 10 years, my fans have continued to stay beside me, and even when I was acting on a whim they were there to support me. They have also always showed and expressed how happy they were to see me. I feel very grateful to have such fans." He then quietly but passionately continued. "For these 10 years I've been working to 'become' a creator. Now having achieved that, for the next 10 years I have to make various works of art to express the many sides of myself as that creator. I hope everyone will be there to see and understand each step I take. I will put into concrete form the things I should and can do as a creator. I pledge to send you works that will fascinate everybody. Please look forward to them." Source I'm always impressed and touched with how much he cares for his fans. In the almost six years that I've been his fan, I've never not seen/heard him express how thankful he is for the constant support all the fans have shown. I guess this is one of the reasons why I like him so much. Even though in these past 10 years he has shown how talented he is as a musician, composer, lyricist, actor.... etc; he knows he can still get even higher, become even better, and will strive for it in order to show what he's capable of and to make his fan even happier. *sigh* Now I'm really looking forward to whatever he's readying for us next, though I'm pretty sure that, whatever it is, is going to spell doom for my wallet. = =; 28 doors shut| Shut the door on this world.
